Your kindness just a ploy,
An attempt to lure me in,
Distract me from the truth,
Convince me something changed
Did you think I would fall victim
Just roll over, let you in?
Yes, I was enticed,
I was spellbound for awhile
You made me stumble,
Made me think,
Like a gawker, had to watch
This convoluted plan
Unfold before my eyes
What a sinister seduction,
But what a waste of time
For, underneath it all
You remain the same mistake
