Tasting nature through the legs of a horse

RIDING HORSES
September 15, 2008

Four legs,
living straws
sucking the sod
through which I
sip the softness
of the grass
with my calves, and
drink the dust off
the track with my thighs,
and taste the bend
of the circle that drips
off every stride
with my seat.
