You’re as strong as stone,
Within every detail;
Down to your bones
But no matter how hard you try,
Your eyes depict
The way you feel inside

With those big pouty lips,
It’s hard not to kiss
Away all of the pain,
You experience
Day after day

I see a giant butterfly
Wrapped in a cocoon of rage;
Your head and your heart,
Never reading from the same page

But if you just open your eyes,
Hold your breath, relax and realize
It may not be as bad as it seems,
But no one ever said it’d be easy

So for now, paint a vivid smile
And talk with impeccable tone
As if we’re all waiting,
