Just a long free verse poem on the "town fool" |
| In the beginning, He saw that all was good When He looked upon the waters And saw the creatures’ swim and frolic Upon the waves and well into the deep But God was bored So the waters swelled and lashed upon the shores It swallowed and yawned And He looked upon His creation That roamed the hills, the forest and the valleys The trees that rose to reach the skies And flowers that bloomed in the midday sun But God was bored And He made the earth shake and tremble And mountains fall And the soil yawned and swallowed And he looked upon His likeness And sent the Serpent upon Eve And smote Job with curse upon curse All because He was bored Then He saw me And God was bored And let loose a horde of demons upon my soul And sent the sprites to play upon my mind All because God was bored |
