Wond'rin

A poem I wrote while going through some tough times, expressing how I felt.

i sit here wond’rin
wond’rin if i shout
would anybody hear me
does anybody care

i sit here wond’rin
wond’rin if i’m here
what is this hole around me
does anybody see

when i try, my efforts
turn to dust
i can’t escape
does anybody hear

i’m shouting, yelling
help me, please
you continue oblivious
blind deaf and dumb

why don’t you stop
can’t you hear me scream
uncaring, hurry on
listen to me

what will it take
for you to notice
what will it take
for you to care

i’m waiting
