A poem to my best friend who's been through a lot

Two steps forward
One step back
You've gained some things
While others you lack

You've dealt with so much
Yet you still hold a smile
You're incredibly strong
This I've known for a while

Happiness WILL come
Though it's been some time
It's hard to explain
All of this in a rhyme

It already seems
The movement is starting
Good people are entering
And bad ones departing

Just keep your head up
As you always do
And remember I'm always
Here for you
