|I promise, this place had the power to light up anything.
It could fill your soul with that light you were asking for when he slammed the door shut behind him. Or when you were told the drastic news at your front door –the police officer catching you as you lost your balance; as well as everything else in your world.
Disappointment rushed towards me as I overlooked this place, expecting that same light. The sun was nowhere to be hidden. And my surroundings remained colorless. The sand underneath me remained lifeless, along with the once dancing waters, which remained still.
