From a child's eyes. |
The Scent of a Woman from a child’s eyes My daddy… …parades women in front of me; brings them around for me to see. He smiles a lot when they come by; gets a special look in his eye. They smell so good and they smile too. He has a lot. He has a slew. They never stay for very long. They realize they don’t belong. I guess girls are just for our fun. Who me? I’m twelve. I’ve just begun. I’ll play and play, and when I’m through, I’ll go out and find someone new. ***Author’s notes: *** This was written intentionally from a boy’s perspective, hence the childlike tone. It’s a tragedy that boys are being brought up to believe this, but it happens more than we think. |
