Garden by the Sea

My feelings about how life can drain you.

I just want to cry
Let the tears fall from my eyes
Let the saline wash away my pain
Maybe the rain can flood my body
Take away this senseless rage


I will plant myself beside the sea
The wind can blow away my doubts
Hope can sink into my pores
Like the rays of the sun
And the earth will feed me strength


The ocean tides will break down my defenses
While the water cleanses my heart, my soul


The decay will crumble with Autumns' wind
My soul will rest in Winters' sleep
And I will be born in the bud of Spring
To live again in the serenity and joy
Of Summer's breeze


And I will not be judged in waves
No gust of wind will contain me
I will live free from condemnation
Just as water and wind flow
Without constriction
My spirit reigns
