Silence Everlasting

a poem i wrote on a day i was feeling lost and alone.

Silence everlasting
Everything I hear
Though no one is listening
I know that you’re here
Still the dark is calling
Whispers in my ear
How can I resist
When no one is there to care
The sun wont shine
Skies are gray
Rain would be a welcome
Just not today
Memories are calling
Like faded dreams
Almost like falling
Like the silent leaves
Hope never was
A good friend of mine
And neither was love
Walking in shadow cast from above
My heart is broken
From lack of love
You can’t see me anymore
Just a dream -- a ghost, no more
The silence is calling
My soul it does heed
Not a word spoken by thee
Walk in the wild
You might see
The beauty and grace
That has become me.
