Far Away Places

Elves, Starlight

I see a place far away
Where the stars light your way
The night like velvet surrounds
Elves and Fairies there abound
A world so distant and yet so near
I listen straining to hear
A whisper or sigh or falling tear
A clue or glimpse of what might be
Of a world beyond what I see
A world where wizards live
A world to spend the rest of my life
New wonders tomorrow brings
As this from my mind springs
Life may control my station
None control my imagination
