BROKEN DOWN ANGEL



this angel with a smile across her face

lies hanging above from a mace

she led a sweet and honourable life

she was a mother and a wife

she always got her kisses

because she fulfilled her husbands wishes

she loved her life, she was full and optimistic

in secret she was living in fear

especially when her husband was near

one day she just couldn't take the strain

from getting hit by a cane

she went to the shed in desperate hope

to look for something she found a rope

she tied it to her neck and bar up top

she climbed the table and then she hopped

broken down angel with a smile across her face

lies hanging above from a lace

broken down angel is now asleep

broken down angel now rests in peace
