teenage songbird

a poem in which I express the feelings of hurting someone.

My heart it beats a song of pain,

my eyes they weep for you again,

my pulse alone enough to kill,

this teenage songbird pale and still.



My thoughts they flourish time again,

I wish i could forget my sin,

for you I give my heart and soul,

this teenage songbird too naive to know.



A  halo of guilt I wear tonight,

I'm giving up without a fight,

for I am human, no wish to hurt,

this teenage songbird craves to be heard.
