The Lost Cause

A small peek into the child that is always given up on.

It seems like everyone always gives up on me.
Like I'm some kind of project that just didn't work out as planned.
I try to do good,
like all the other kids.
I do my best again and again, but it's never enough for them.
They tell me to just "give up" because I'm nothing but a "lost cause".
I will agree that at times i may be a "cause", but never a lost one.
Until I've had enough and I'm tired of trying over and over again...
I will stay strong.
I will never get tired of trying.
I will not forever be...a lost cause.
