A message to someone far away who is sorely missed.

I'm so glad I took the time
Took the time to make it better
No one can heal myself as well as I can
Now, even though I'm still as confused as ever
At least some of my wounds have started healing faster

I'm content with where I am
Even if it's not where I want to be
You're the only one I allow to be here
For I love you and know you're trustworthy
Supporting me throughout this long and painful journey

I wish I had more to give you
Than just memories and dreams
But our separation took away the means
For me to show how much I want to be there
Right by your side to learn, to laugh, to share, to cry, to care

But right now is not forever
And our situation is sure to change
There is more for us ahead in the future
In this world nothing ever always stays the same
We can only be brought back together, if we each find our own way

Hand in hand let's move forward
To reach our warm and radiant destinies
We can endure, though tomorrow looks bleak
