Forgiveness

A poem about how hard it is to forgive and to forget.

You apologised,
but still I cry,
you said you'll never say goodbye,
but somehow I know its a lie.

Your smiles,
fake to follow on the hurt,
we have and received.

Forgiveness I gave,
but still I dont believe,
the words I uttered.

Forgiveness,
is make-believe.
