The Day
I sat. I waited
I cried. I almost died
Sad and lonely
Is what I felt everyday
Dark and gloomy
My world just shades of gray
Then one day
Your light broke through
My tearstained face
Now bright with life
My heavy heart
Is now light
The shades of gray fade way
Bright colors illuminate my day
The things lost in the shuffle
Show through clear as day
The sorrow falls away
Whenever you near
My heart skips a beat
With every glance my way
Please stay with me all of my days
