Poem: Who am I?

Who am I?
I have searched miles of roads
paved, unpaved, barren and untouched
not a soul for aid, not a companion

Who am I?
I have seen so much on these roads
I have learned even more, of life, of me
yet, nothing to show, nothing to state

Who am I?
I really wish to know, to see, to learn
I have seen shimmers of light, was it just the sun
why are there but shadows guiding my way

Who am I?
Someone must know
Someone has to know, has to share
where are you? this someone, I need to know...
