A Special Friend

A poem shared through the eyes of it's creator

A special friend came into my life
A heart-felt soul was my four legged friend

A divine soul, loving and care-free
Always bringing a smile to my face

In times of turmoil and uncertainty,
With his soft fur he comforted me

No demands or selfish acts, only compassion
Understanding was his gift, his purr heart-free

With life's experiences and a lifetime caring
The heaven was softly calling him to ascend

Before my last good bye, my face was visible to him
Comforting him, as pain no longer could be seen in his eyes

Softly I spoke, "Do you see the light sweet one?"
Farewell my friend, the heavens joyfully await you
