The Ultimate Chase

A poem about first love

We were so young and in Love, yet
We still did our thang with and without each other.
Those indeed were the days…

The days that were filled with eight tracks, deceit
And puppy love chases. With love still abounding…

Now with years under our belts, through our
Separate lives, we find ourselves locked in mutual thought.
A thought that makes us say wow…

Wow, because we realize years later that
The chase is still on…

The chase is more intense. Its filled with the
Love that we’ve had for each other throughout the years.
Unlike the past chase, this chase is filled with the love of God through
His guidance. Through His guidance, we’ve realized that it’s not a
Puppy love chase anymore…

This is “The Chase”… The ultimate chase for you
And I to be equally yoked in God’s eyes “As One” because
The love that we share is only fit for the King and Queen
Of Hearts. That why I welcome this quest, because for us…

This is our true route to that desired peace, love
Happiness. So, I ask you to also be led by God and join me
Once more on this…
