Angst about my dad. From September 2004

I will never recover from what you did to my family
I will never recover from losing my best friend
I will never recover from seeing my mother die
I will never recover from living a childhood of sadness

I will never get back what you took away
I will never be the person I had wished to become
I will never again smile because I'm happy

You took away everything that meant anything

And now all I have is nothing
Because all I have is you
