Lie when nothing's left to say
You know my reasons why
To keep my eyes above the ground
And so I do not cry

It isn't all that relevant
It is to me, I guess
But emotion stifles
When bad news comes much less

I'll believe, I promise
I will not question you
After years of doing this
You know just what to do

So lie to me
When it's best
And it will show some reason
I don't care what you're saying
Give me something to believe in
