some men from the county
made the trip to the country
came out to take Dad away
me and sis were playin in the yard
yes I heuss you could say
Mamma took it kinda hard
**Daddy sent a letter sayin things are gonna get better

well the only time Mamma smiles
is when Daddies friend drops by for awhile
he spent some time under the hood
and now that ole car is runnin just like it should
yesterday we went fishin
thats when we caught them kissin
got a new cst named wiskers
he reminds us of you
