What I needed to say when my older sister passed away

With a heart that cries,
    I say Goodbye to a
        Soul that flies

A soul that touched each heart
    it met and made hearts
        smile
A soul which would be saddened
    to see those hearts cry

With a heart that weeps
    I say Goodbye to a
        friend

A friend who loved and trusted
    all and gave pleasure to many
A friend who made children
    feel safe and adults
    feel cared about
A friend who gave giggles to the
    young and smiles to the
    not so young

With a heart that smiles
    I remember a friend
    and say Goodbye to
    a soul that flies
