A poem that hopes to portray that everyone is different but unique. |
| Difference in similarity If every leaf or flower, Or every rock or tree, Or every drop in a morning shower All looked the same to me? If all the houses on our street Were all painted the same? And everyone we chanced to meet Were called by the same name? The world will be so dull a place If all the shapes were round. And all the people were of one race Where ever they can be found. In some ways we are similar, Like the blood that flows through our veins. We know the music of laughter And also the feeling of pain. There is beauty in similarity In the things that we look at and see. But differences in the human family, Those differentiate you and me. |
