A metaphorical poem describing my trip into the world of heroin addiction and my recovery. |
| As I write A Palestinian youth Computes the equation Have his enemies filled his world With enough misery That he feels more hatred for them Than he does love for his own life? He thinks of his crippled father Of his bulldozed house And of his departed friends All of whom Computed the same equation Always coming to the same conclusion Until, the day they came to another. |
