Today I must say that I had much thought
Trying hard to stop the tears I fought.
That more love was possible for this little guy
You may be wondering to yourself, why?

Well, Crystal’s hair was falling out this morning
So after everyone came home tonight, with little warning,
The clippers came out and the decision was made
The hair is now gone so in the summer we need shade.

Bennett said, “Please shave my head,” he wanted to get shaved too
He’s a special little guy who wanted his Mom’s new hairdo.
He looks like his Mom more than ever and it’s true
The memory of this moment will last many years too.

Love and being a Mama are all part of this act
And being a child who loves her is just part of their pact
I love this little guy more than ever before
And I didn’t know more was possible – I just adore.
