Letter From Ricky

A letter that is not what it seems. Won Writers Cramp 3-17-09!!

I walk to my mailbox and get my mail
there's a letter from my cousin saying she needs bail
but what is this piece of junk mail

It has no return address
I think about throwing it away
but instead It might be something good I say

I open it to what's inside
this letter is from Ricky
he said he should not have been so picky

he says he's sorry and thinks of me everyday
he says he needs me and can't stay away
I think to myself it's too late for that

I keep reading the letter
I do miss him, he always made me feel better
the letter went on to say he was coming to the city

He always knew how to make me laugh
although he always made me cry
as I read I gave a small sigh

Why is he doing this to me
I walk to my house and get out my key
I walk inside and there is he
