Children's view of divorce. Edited Feb, 2025

And they call us children!
At one time we were
Before all the fighting
And hurting for sure


We had two great parents
Loving man and his wife
Now we have nothing
But heartache and strife


And They call us Children
Their folly not right
For nothing they did
Was just Black or White


Yes, they call us children!
So hard, just so mean
We’ve lost all our faith
With our family dream


Both worth loving
To our children's eyes
Our family it is broken,
We scream to the skies


Oh, yes they call us children
We’re sad, sorry to say
For They are the children
Since that dreadful day
