This poem is about lonliness, lust, desperation, the inability to enjoy life. |
| Paradise Unattainable: Morning. Silver mists glisten. The daily birdsong greets the early sun. Transfixed, I gaze at the herd lapping up their first draughts; Earl Grey is my only luxury. African plains transcend beauty but I must stay inside. Afternoon. Golden sands allayed. The daily hunt has finished now. Content, I observe the herd relaxing for the next hours; Comfy cushions are all I have. Meadow fields surpass imagination yet I cannot enjoy them. Dusk. Indigo veil sets in. The daily events have long been ended. Upset, I listen to the herd caught up in their sweet dreams; A King-sized bed is my soiled ground. This heavenly Elysium is without comparison but I must stay inside. |
