Wind, water, and light reveal an inner truth. (Form: Dorsimbra)
The sun brightly moves in its lonely dance
over the sea; the wind’s hand on its waist.
Its coquettish play holds me in a trance
and, for a moment, my pain is erased.
You’re like the light on the waves,
mesmerizing to the eye but not touching.
Insubstantial promises that sparkle
but never illuminate my soul.
With a sigh of regret, I turn and leave
though the beauty of the moment remains.
Perhaps truth will bring peace to my heart while
the sun brightly moves in its lonely dance.
