Is the river flowing backwards

Written in my College Biology Class.

Is the river flowing backwards
it's moving, yes it's moving
but who are we to say
which every way it's going

Is the river flowing backwards
we've been taught it's impossible
deprived of an imagenation
and which every way it could go

Is the river flowing backwards
it's just so hard to tell
our ologies and gravities
has caused the world to swell

Flat or round and so profound
how can we ever know
if we let DNA and RNA
tell us everything is so

Lets close our books and go outside
before we start to believe
cause the proteins and ATPs
are clogging up our dreams

Is the river flowing backwards
it's moving yes it's moving
but who is science to say
which ever way it's moving.
