A Smile

A teacher takes a much needed break

Ms. Jackie wears a tired smile. 
Though smiles are
not uncommon to her,
this one is different.

The smile is one of escape;
she's not at work - technically.
She is refreshed.
Actually talking with adults.

Rejuvenated, inspired,
the bags under the eyes
from lack of sleep,
from
    preparing,
            grading,
                    reviewing
are less noticeable,
as the new smile
overtakes her face.
