Small poem about Ancient Egypt. |
| O Egypt, You foolish land O Pharaoh, You foolish man What must God do What afflictions must come upon you Why can you not His people let go Why can you not see The Lord God shall deliver them up The Lord God shall deliver them out of you O Egypt, You foolish land O Pharaoh, You foolish man For not Bloodied water, nor Gnats, nor Frogs could change your heart For not Animals, nor Pestilence, nor Boils could change your mind For not Hail, nor Locusts, nor Utter Darkness could change your ways O Egypt, O Pharaoh, That it would take the death of all your first born. O Egypt, O Pharaoh, That it would be at God's hand O Egypt, O Pharaoh, Surely you know, That becuase of you, the peoples of today can behold the power of God? |
