Sevenling (My friend loved...)

...remembering on Memorial Day

My friend loved riding his Harley,
singing along with Lynrd Skynrd,
cold beer, and burgers on the grill.

He despised self-righteous bluster
from pompous talking heads on TV
and deceitful politicians.

My friend died in Iraq defending their freedom.
