Some low things
|Things that are Low
Fallen rocks, the drawer for my socks,
The tide as it wanes out to sea.
A cheating spouse, a kitchen mouse,
The buzz of a honey bee.
A cranberry bog, a London fog,
A price you might pay at a sale.
Songs when they're blue, me without you,
The bottom notes on the scale.
A railroad track, a sneak attack,
The last pickle in the jar.
A subordinate rank, a ship that sank,
The end of a falling star.
