Light In Darkness

Something that I thought up the other night.

Pinlights in darkness,
Shine throught the void.
The void of peace.
In this dark,
I find hope.
Hope in safety,
Safety in this dark.
Safe to be who I am.
Safe to love and be loved.
This darkness
It is not evil
It is beautiful.
In it
One finds peace
One finds hope
One is happy.

Why leave the void?
What peace is there outside?
In the harsh light of day,
Scorching, Condeming.
It does not accept.
Only judges.
Forever the judge.

The bright light.
It shows no mercy,
shows no love.
Has no peace.

In this dark,
In this void.
Life is
Pure
Simple
Beautiful.

Do I dare?
Dare cross the line
to leave the void,
enter the life.
The life of
Judgment.

The darkness is a blanket,
friend, protector.
In it I am me.
Out of it
I must change
cover
protect from the light.

Only in the dark.
With the light from the stars
And the warmth from hope.
Can I be me.

Then
and only then
is life right.

In this darkness
one finds peace
one finds hope
one finds self.
