My teacher asked me to construct a poem about my thoughts on books.
Inside this book lay words never uttered, knowledge never known.
The voice of a stranger; the thoughts of a friend.
Stories of a life, or tales of a dream.
The never spoken truth; the biggest lie in history.
A simple story told for generations.
Books live long, but what's in them lives longer.
