My strength

This is to people who want to hurt me.

There are some people I cannot stand,

They try to put me down when I am so glad.

Instead of pushing me up they tear me down,

They don’t understand the way it makes me feel.



But as hard as I try their words stay in my mind.

I wish I can just keep them out,

but they are burned into my mind.

As hard as I try not to let them break me down; it still hurts me inside.



Maybe one day they might understand but until that day comes,

I will stay strong and makes sure I do prove them wrong
