Searching

A long search led me to find not what I was looking for, but something better, myself.

As the world around me changes
I feel conflicted, lost, alone

I'm searching for an answer
A sign or manifestation

Outside influences entice me
They say follow me

The seduction overwhelms
I am almost overcome

But I know better
So I say no

I stand up against them
I lose them

But I find something
Something that's been there

I find what I need
What I've been searching for all along

I find the person within
The person God created me to be
