Making myself see what was never there!

I wonder why you’re staring at me
I’m not as pretty as I’d want to be,

I wonder why you’re looking this way
Your eyes lingering as if you want to stay,

I wonder if you’re really thinking of me
Or I’m just seeing what I want to see,

I wonder if you even care
To hope that I can’t even dare,

I wonder how I can look at you
And not think that I want you too,

I wonder how I could make you mine
Still couldn’t think of anything after all this time,

I wonder why it took me so long to realize
But it still doesn’t come as a surprise,

I wonder why I didn’t see it before
I was making myself see what’s not here anymore.
