On Bended Knees

On bended knee, I'm before God's throne,
a testimony to give, which is mine alone.
Here in his presence, I've found the peace I need.
Whispering the prayer, that will set my soul free.

From bended knees, I can rise to face the day before me.
Unafraid, guided by faith, his strength, mercy and my belief.
The rest of my life, my burdens with him I'll share,
when I take them to the altar, say a prayer,
walk away and leave them there. (c)

Upon these knees, safe and secure I'll always be.
New visions of a life, my God has shown to me.
In these moments of confession, I know what I must do,
seek the path of prayer, that will lead me straight to you.

Down on my knees, His mighty hand is what I feel.
My broken spirit, by his grace, has now been healed.
With a grateful heart I say thank you, uplift and praise your name.
Salvation once sought, is now mine to claim.

Here on my knees, I ask you to abide in me,
instill in me a peace for all to see.
For I know the measure of my life ... all that I do,
is possible, because of you.
