Love Poem

A unique expression of love

science tells us
the ocean is blue
because the sky is blue

that it is blue because
it is a reflection
(no more
or less)
of the sky above it

and well
with that stated
i must acknowledge
my heart expects
it might be nice
to be the ocean
if you were my sky

what i mean is   

baby you are
so good
and so beautiful
and so fine
and radiant
that life                                                                                 
i think
would be all right
so long as
i could spend it
living as a
reflection
of you
