This poem is dedicated to my wife of 27 years |
| TO DEMETRIA Many years back I met her As I walked one day to the church Rushing through the crowd to the aisle I saw her on that sunny day. Everyday I watched her Jealous of others who stared at her Even then I wondered Now is the time to speak with her. I made my first move Friendly smile-I had on my face For that rendezvous with the girl Every day I saw, Running past my home to work Days gone-by, very soon Everything happened very fast Marry her- I did at last! Eternal love we share Twenty seven years we spent together Romancing, loving each other In a bond that would last forever As I dedicate this poem to her! |
