this is a poem a wrote for a competition. |
| The angels sang in bands of three Their voices loud and clear It echoed off the mountain tops For all the world to hear They sang with perfect rhythm Like the beat of night and day It would rise to a crescendo And then gently fade away The angels sang in harmony Not a note out of place It echoed off the town hall bells All filled with charm and grace They sang a song that filled the world That bade it breathe and spin It told each tide to rise and fall Each season to begin The angels sang a melody Too timeless to be old It echoed in all living things In the pits of their souls The pixies all would play to it The fair folk sang along The centaurs pranced, the fairies danced To the beat of the song. It filled the world with magic And with knowledge, grace and love All things unwittingly danced To the rhythm from above The angels sang in groups of three Their voices loud and clear It echoed off the mountain tops For all the world to hear. |
