A Religious Poem about Love. |
![]() WHAT MORE CAN I DO - FOR LOVE? What more can I do - for love? For love, I hold back the very fires of Hell. For love, I laid down a golden crown To be nailed up on a cross of wood. For love, I endured tribulations and trials And sufferings no mortal words can tell. And I did this all for love – for love! That the new JESUS might Welcome you to Paradise, The old CHRIST paid a price So great, that even now, the Hosts Of Heaven wonder – was it too much? But I know that it was not. For it all was done for love – for love! For love truly can “endure all things,” As MY saintly Paul has said. Yet, MY love is heavenly, and Knows no ending or beginning. Is freely given and freely sent, And meant most especially – for you! What more can I do – for love? Believe, and see. Seek ME on your knees and let us Find out together, how much more Can be done – for love! |
