warm everyone underneath it
but I don’t see the sun
The light of my sky come from your smile
Is your smile what gave me the energy
the energy to wake and live
To crawl out of bed and ready for the day
Is your smile what comforts me
tell me it’ll be a great day
A beautiful day with you
I walk slowly towards you
I smile at your face
you’re happy to see me
but there’s something else in your eyes
something delights you more
more than seeing me
You turn around
to someone I didn’t notice
His arms around your waist
You’re leaning on him
I hold on to one piece
as I watched your lips touch his
and suffer the pain I’m familiar with
for the thousandth time
