The Sun Shines on Campus

Poetry yearns & captures the mind and refuses to release,
like a sweet song of ceaseless tone that holds the heart in rapture.

It calls out to my busy soul,
into the confines of my mind, "Come, fly with me, on the waves of sound.  Come soar! The ground stays far below."

I take a detour for a while,
but business 'ere o'ertakes me.
