Sometimes you have to look beyond what you can see.

The hard life she led was evident. Not by her expression, the deep lines on her face, or dark circles under her once vibrant eyes. It wasn’t in the frail way she moved about. No, it was in her words. For they all carried a deep, underlying meaning. Each one carefully chosen on bated breath.
