I thought I threw them away
And the letters that you wrote from your heart

The words that you wrote to me
And your promise that we’d -never part

But I pushed away
Said words that I shouldn’t say
And the ones that I should- passed me by

(And) If I had one more chance
Wouldn’t let one moment pass
I’d write a letter that came from my heart (heart, heart)

The only way that I knew (music starts again)
Wish that I could have- given you more

The only love that knew
Didn’t know what I should do
Thought for sure that you’d- break my heart

I'd never push you away
Say words that I shouldnt say
Or let the ones that I should pass me by
